Do I need a credit card to try Pro?

Accepted Answer

No. The 7-day Pro trial takes no card details at all — you start it from your account and every Pro feature unlocks immediately. When the week is up you simply go back to Free. There is nothing to cancel and nothing can be charged.

Is my data private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your presets and datasets live in your own Fillr account, visible only to you — we never sell or share them. The extension stores no passwords or tokens, and filling happens locally in your browser. Fillr doesn't track your browsing: a form's structure is only saved when you explicitly capture it as a preset. You can delete your account and everything in it from Settings at any time.

Why does Fillr need access to the sites I visit?

Because it has to read the form on the page you're on in order to fill it — that's what Chrome is describing when it asks for site access. Fillr reads fields and types into them only when you press Fill, Clear or Save; it does not follow your browsing or send page content anywhere. The cookie permission is used for one thing: reading your fillr.app sign-in cookie so the extension knows it's you. No passwords or tokens are stored in the extension.

Is it really free?

Yes — the Free plan is genuinely free, forever: unlimited presets, every data type, and 3 datasets of 50 rows each in English. Pro adds filling from your own data, generating datasets from any form, the test-data and persona fill modes, unlimited datasets, and all 60+ locales.

Will it work on our internal or staging app?

Accepted Answer

Yes — any web form works, including internal tools, admin panels and localhost. Nothing is installed on the site itself; the extension reads the form in your own browser. Presets match pages by URL pattern, so a single preset can cover localhost, staging and production instead of one per environment.

Can it test with bad data, not just realistic data?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that's what the test-data modes are for. Per field you can fill boundary values (empty, one character, at the limit, over it), malformed input, tricky characters like emoji and right-to-left text, correctly structured values such as checksum-valid card numbers, or classic injection strings for security checks on forms you own. Persona fill keeps one made-up identity consistent across a multi-page signup. All are Pro; the injection payloads are additionally off until you switch them on.

What kind of data can it generate?

Realistic names, emails, addresses, phone numbers and more than 100 data types, across 60+ languages — powered by faker.

Does the preset find the form automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Land on a matching page and the right preset surfaces on its own — no manual picking. If more than one of your presets matches the page, Fillr asks which one you want rather than guessing.

Can my teammates use my presets?

Not yet. Fillr is built for one person: your presets and datasets live in your own account, and there are no shared workspaces or seats. A teammate who wants the same presets needs their own account and their own copy.

Does it work with React, Vue and Angular forms?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Fillr doesn't just set values — it fires the same input, change and blur events a real person typing would, so framework-controlled inputs register what was filled instead of silently reverting. That's the failure people usually hit with simpler fillers.

Which browsers does it work in?

Accepted Answer

Chrome. It's a Chromium extension, so other Chromium browsers that can install from the Chrome Web Store — Edge, Brave, Arc — generally work, but Chrome is the one we test against. There is no Firefox or Safari build.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Everything is point-and-click — capture, configure each field, and fill. No scripts, no selectors.
