Fillr

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 15, 2026

Welcome to Fillr! We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in an open and transparent manner. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights regarding your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that is essential for providing and improving our service. This information can be categorized as follows:

Information You Provide Directly:

  • Account Information: When you sign up for Fillr, we collect your email address and name to create and manage your account.
  • Presets & Form Configurations: Fillr is a smart form-filler built to generate realistic but fictitious test data. When you save a “preset,” we store the structure of a web form (field names, labels, and types) along with the fill rules you choose — such as which data generator to use, any fixed values you enter, or fields to skip. Any fixed values you choose to save are stored as part of the preset.
  • Datasets: Fillr lets you create, import, or generate “datasets” — rows of test data used to populate forms or for bulk export. This content is whatever you choose to import or generate and is stored under your account. We do not access the content of your saved presets or datasets unless required for support purposes, and only with your explicit permission.

Information We Collect Automatically:

  • Usage Data: We may collect non-personally identifiable information about how you interact with our website and extension. This can include things like features used, pages visited, and time spent on the app.
  • Device and Browser Information: We may collect basic information about your device and browser, such as browser type and operating system, to ensure our service functions correctly across different platforms.

Information Collected by the Browser Extension:

  • Form Structure on Pages You Use It On: The Fillr Chrome extension reads the structure of forms (field names, labels, and types) on pages where you actively use it, so it can fill or capture them. Fill values are generated locally in your browser. The extension only transmits form data to our servers when you explicitly choose to capture a form and save it as a preset. It does not read, track, or transmit your general browsing history or the content of pages you visit.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide and Maintain the Service: Your account and form data are used to power the core functionality of Fillr.
  • To Communicate With You: We use your email address to send important notifications about your account, updates, and policy changes.
  • To Improve Our Service: We analyze usage data to understand user behavior and develop new features.
  • For Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect your account and our services from unauthorized access.

We will never sell or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Data

  • Data Storage: All your data is securely stored using Supabase as our backend provider.
  • Data Encryption: Your data is encrypted both in transit (using TLS/SSL) and at rest.
  • Data Retention: We store your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently deleted.
  • Security Measures: Access to your data is strictly limited to authorized personnel who are required to keep the information confidential.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

We use a few trusted third-party services to provide our application. These services have been carefully vetted for their privacy and security practices.

  • Supabase: Used for our database and backend infrastructure.
  • Vercel: Used for hosting our web application and website.
  • Resend: Used to send transactional emails.
  • LemonSqueezy: Used as our payment processor and merchant of record for paid subscriptions. Your payment details are handled directly by LemonSqueezy; we do not store your full payment card information.
  • PostHog: Privacy-friendly analytics used to understand aggregate website traffic and usage (such as visitors, pages viewed, and traffic sources). We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell or share this data, and we do not track you across other websites.

5. Your Data Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You have control over your personal information. In line with GDPR and CCPA, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time.
  • Right to Rectification (Update): You can access your Fillr account at any time to update or correct your information.
  • Right to Erasure (Deletion): You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies for essential purposes like authentication and remembering your preferences. We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party marketing.

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. However, if you disable essential cookies, some features of Fillr may not function correctly.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
